what is body safe

BODY SAFE

In Body Safe, we learned about how to keep our body safe and when to ask for consent and  ask for consent if someone asks you for consent answer it sincerely  or be sincere when asking for consent It was good how the educators came every Wednesday and Friday and told us different things every time they come The best thing about Body Safe was they put fun and learning together Body safe was run by a group of people They came into our class every .every Wednesday and Friday for four weeks and they told us that don't do it with anyone that has not gave you consent

  1. Kia ora Lloyd,

Well done from remembering the key message from BodySafe which is consent! You have explained it well here and I like how you highlight that people need to be sincere for it to be consent. Sometimes people might say yes if they feel pressured or scared and that is definitely not a sincere or real yes, and doesn't count as consent.

Remember that consent is something people do all the time in their lives in non-sexual situations, the skills like using the four steps to consent: ASK LISTEN RESPECT REFLECT, are already things people can do in their everyday live and relationships.

    Well done!

  2. Kia ora Lloyd,

This is such an awesome reflection, well done! It seems like you have a great understanding of consent, and I like how you've put an emphasis on asking for consent.

It's great that you had fun! Keep talking to each other and reminding each other about what you learned :)
